Love comes in all forms
Online Film Festival
‘Love comes in all forms’ was an online film festival organised by eVINCE. This was an experimental project to engage with the Chines-speaking audience during COVID-19 lockdowns in July-August 2020.
Films selected for this online film festival speak for different forms of love and affection. After watching each of the selected films, serveral group discussions were organised, people interested in topics were encouraged to write or video-blog a review of their favourite film and post those on their respective social media. This festival was aimed at starting conversation of the less-spoken topics such LGBTQA and gender equality among the Chinese speaking communities.
Over a thousand audience from different part of the wold joined this festival - this was a huge success for us.
LIMBO
in collaboration with Story is Connection
LIMBO is a project supported by the City of Melbourne art grant, led by Story is Connection (SIC), a not-for-profit arts organization that aims to give international students a voice through theatrical performances.
This project captures emotional stories told by international students about their conditions during the first COVID-19 lockdown in Melbourne. Each of the stroies were recorded using ZOOM and later combined to create a short film - LIMBO which was live streamed using ZOOM and FACEBOOK. More than 100 audiences joined the online premier event.
Tammy Zhao Yang is one of the film editors for this film, and assistant to the film director Irene Metter.
